September CME Meeting Survey

Posted about 5 years ago by Gaylene Chapman

Attention members-

Robin Troxell (genetic counselor) will be speaking at our APNO CME meeting to be held on September 10, 2019. Are there any specific topics you would like for her to address that would be helpful in your practice or need to know information? If so, please send questions or topics to Gaylene.Chapman@Mercy.Net so that I can get them to her.  I will be posting the meeting invite, place, and more info the first of August.

Please feel free to reach out to me for other questions, topics, or ideas you may have as well.

Thank you!

Genetic testing as it relates to prostate cancer and renal cancer would be great.

My son has a rare genetic disorder called Rubinstein Taybi Syndrome. I don’t necessarily need her to discuss it, but I am excited about this topic and the awareness it brings to many genetically related conditions. :)

Maybe she could address the pros and cons of the genetic tests people can purchase, like 23 and me. What do providers do when patient gets results they don’t understand.

Sara Mccalley about 5 years ago

Genetic testing in regards to OB screening when there is family history of genetic disorders (CF for example.)

I would love to hear her thoughts on MTHFR testing in depression treatment.
